Punch Satan in the FACE!!

Hello my wonderful family and friends,

This week…was terrible. Yep. I hate to say it, but I can’t lie. It was kinda bad. We faced a lot of opposition this week and didn’t do nearly as good as we did last week. We tried so hard, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out! We had very few lessons and a lot of lessons that we scheduled fell through. Honestly, I think I am more upset that Sister Witherspoon had to go through a week like that on her second week in the mission. Welcome to missionary life?! It is just evident that there is a giant miracle on its way!

One thing that I have learned on my mission is that God is always with us and he is always a part of our lives. No matter if we have good days or bad days, we can always find something good. So, even though this week was bad (as far as numbers go), let me share with you some of the grace that we received…

To start off, it has been so stinking WARM here!!! Hallelujah! Seriously, winter ended and spring was here overnight. It was so sunny and all the snow has melted *knock on wood that it doesn’t snow again*. Today it is supposed to be like 70 degrees, so this afternoon we are going to go to the Miamisburg mound park and have yet another zone fun day!

Zone Fun Day!!!

(The whole mission got an extra zone fun day from President Porter because of some of the goals that we have accomplished). We are going to play some Ultimate Frisbee and just have lots of fun in the sun! 🙂

Another grace moment this week was that we got to go to the temple!

It was kind of a surprise. We weren’t supposed to go until this Wednesday, but last Monday the assistants sent out a voicemail to all the missionaries saying that our temple trips had been re-arranged. It was so much fun to go to the temple though!

Our session started at 9:00, so we had to get up at 5:30 to start getting ready. (Bleh!). After our temple trip we went to Culvers for lunch. I love Culvers! There isn’t a Culvers down here, but there was a Culvers in my first area that we went to a couple of times, so it was nice to go back there again.

Another quick grace moment that just came to my mind is that our dinner calendar is filled up to the end of the month! Yay! That’s always a nice thing. The members love us. 😉

Even though we had a lot of lessons fall through, we had a couple of really good lessons with some less-actives that we have been working with. Another grace moment.

So that is about it for the update. There are just a few things that I can think of where we saw grace that made this week a lot nicer. Like I said, we can always find something good in our day if we look for it!

I love you all. Have a fantastic week!

Love,

Sister Palmer
